I don’t remember if we’ve already discussed this before, but have you guys noticed with age, none of your friends really find new music to listen to anymore?  Everyone just listens to top40 radio or NPR on the commute to work or something.

I just realized there’s this indie band that I used to listen to, and apparently they’re still around and making new albums.  Got me all giddy today.

I’m finding new music!  Usually small new bands.

i’m not sure about my friends, but i rarely get new music now. and if i do, it’s usually from an older artists back catalog (for example i have most of marvin gaye’s albums and he’s been dead since the eighties). when i do get new-new music, it’s usually from an older artist who is still putting out music like the beastie boys or wyclef. i mostly listen to podcasts and sports radio.
