Knitting 101

I don’t have any lace weight yarn so I just used the thinnest yarn I could find in my closet. I used US 3 needles even though it’s a DK and the recommended needle size is US 6.

this is the first pair of mittens I’ve made, and they’re hilariously bad.  They’re super fat and warm because I’ve knitted in little bits of wool called roving.

oh my gosh - just seeing this for the first time.  too cute!

^i kept twisting my stitches when I tried to add on so the stitches looked too tight.

Nice FOs! I think to block things, you either put them through the wash or in a tub of water, then use pins to set the shape.
