^^ primer on my eyelid but not on my lashline.  i’ll try that though.

^ urban decay’s eyeshadow (oil slick?) turns up black if you don’t mind all the glitter.  i prefer mac’s fluidliners to liquidliner but that’s just because i’m a clutz.

I still can’t figure out the liquid liner thing.  I just apply dark eyeshadow wet with an eyeliner brush if I am motivated enough to do liner.

I love the shiseido mascara base - I put on several thin coats rather than one thick one, put black mascara on top of it while it’s still wet, then blink off any excess onto a tissue.

^ I find mascara that’s a bit dried out works better for me in terms of not smudging.

even a brief review of the product would be helpful for makeup newbs like me.  pretty please.  same goes for the skincare products, although i’m a bit skeptical of them: i’m convinced the condition of your skin has more to do with your diet, level of stress, and amount of sleep.

i’m a diehard fan of MAC products. theyre relatively cheap and work just as well as the doubly priced items from chanel, dior, etc. there are a few caveats though: i only use diorshow mascara (very dramatic yet natural looking - it’s the color, it’s really BLACK), and loreal concealer, bc its drugstore cheap and concealer is concealer. MAC eyeshadows, blushes, lip glosses, pressed powders, love it all.

skincare is totally different. i agree with heh, i think skin is more of an intrinsic thing. you either have good skin or you don’t. i’m lucky enough to have good skin where i actually don’t even wash my face with cleansers every day. i find that i get drier the more i use products, so i actually just splash my face with water some nights. when i do use product, i really like biore. the whole line is centered around minimizing pores and they all feel really clean without depriving your skin of moisture. for eye cream (where i get the driest), i use clinique all about eyes moisture rich cream. it smells funky but it works.
