i just bought (all lancome)

high definicils. it’s supposed to lenghten and volumize a bit. i like it. definitely makes you have the “hey i’m wearing mascara!” look but not quite tammy faye

and

liquid eyeliner. currently testing. will post results later. test - eyeliner w/ no base and no eyeshadow. to see if it smudges or moves at all despite the oily eyelids. if it passes it might be my new best friend.

and

star bronzing powder. color seems really dark in the compact, but goes on surprisingly light. and barely has a shimmer which is great because too much gillter/shimmer is so ala stripper/hooker.

on to new and exciting, does anybody have any experience with

one of my girlfriends had it and i remember it had a nice sheen for a little extra something for bare skin when you go out. but i can’t remember if it liked it enough to buy it.

or the Nars body glow stuff?

i’m interested in a slight shimmer/color for the body. nothing overt. something offset the pasty white skin in dresses and skirts look.

is like dr.feelgood for the body.

i <3 diorshow blackout mascara, it is so damn black. other than that, i rarely wear anything except pressed powder and eyeshadow. i have a LOT of MAC eyeshadows. pretty much anything i put on my face is MAC. i love their lipstick in myth - gives that so-nude-i-almost-have-no-lips look that is awesome with smoky eyes.

Is there a big difference between Diorshow Black Out and regular DiorShow?

I can’t figure out the liquid eyeliner thing, esp the winged part at the outside corner.  just got the mac stuff in the pyramid tube on my sister’s recommendation, and I just look ridiculous.

^Neither could I.  I ended up returning a UD liquid liner last year and getting a Mac fluidline instead. 

I haven’t really attempted to winged effect but I do get a nice, even thin line with my fluidline.  it’s pretty goof proof too, even for me.

Winged eyeliner is really easy with the 266 brush.

a tip if you’re just wearing eyeliner and not eyeshadow:  Just slather it on any way so that it covers where you want it to go and then take a qtip and (i wet it w/ my mouth) clean it up. easiest way to do eyeliner until you get the hang of it.  really sometimes, its not about how you put it on but what you take off.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good red lipstick?

I have MAC Diva and Dubonnet but neither are a classic red.

i can’t wear red lipstick. i’m already yellow and red just makes me look yellower and older than i already am. i haven’t actually seen any asian that red lipstick hasn’t made look rather cheap or tacky :/ maybe it’s the kind of red lipstick that matters?

I love her lip color, but that’s an LE lipstick from the Couture collection (November 2006).

yeah… see she just looks trashy to me. i personally don’t like that look on asians… but if anyone is going to pull it off i think everything else has to be absolutely minimal. no eyeshadow, eyeliner, maybe just mascara, etc. if you find a shade that looks good on you, i’d like to see!

I can only do a deep red/berry lipstick.  I like mac viva glam IV for this.
