go figure that all my threads would be in the food section raspberry

what are some of the off-the-wall foods that you really love? it can be something widely considered kind of gnarly or just something normal that you eat in a weird way… share!

some of my favorite foods are scary to some of my white coworkers: chicken feet, chicken butt, grilled intestines, beef tongue, snails in black bean sauce, tripe soup, pate, grilled liver.... i like all the nasty bits.

i like korean blood sausage… but i like the stuff it comes with better: pig’s ear and liver. my friends usually toss that stuff and only eat the sausage. oh man that stuff is good.

Wow, you guys like some really weird meats. smile Is that mostly Filipino food mentioned above?

I had some crunchy pork rinds dipped in vinegar and garlic at a Filipino friends’ house a while back.  It was so good, I ate way too much of it.

I love lechon, but i really really love Crispy Pata. From Wikipedia: pork knuckles (pata) marinated then deep fried until crispy golden brown. However, the knuckles are a small portion, thus it is the whole leg of pork that is usually served.  If you think lechon is bad for the arteries, it’s nothing compared to crispy pata! but soooo damn good
