Okay, so now that it’s December, and I’m moving in literally 25 days, I’m starting to get down to packing.

Does ANYONE here have any cool friends who are looking for a roommate in March 2010?

I have referrals, I’m still good friends with my former roommates in college, and I’m compulsively cleaning stuff...plus was an RA, so thanks!

^ haven’t decided yet, but open to options. It’s definitely around/in San Fran.

I think the rent is more what determines where I land...anything around $800 is beautiful.

i think that means the city and county of sf and not a suburb or other place.  kind of like nyc vs. long island, jersey or connecticut.

haha yeah. SF proper is the city/metropolitan. not the areas surrounding the city that the rest of the bay area encompasses: berkeley, etc. and so on. cause it’s a different kind of commute otherwise…

actually, i’ve only heard it once. i’ve never used that term before. most people just usually just distinguish it as “the city.”

What?

I wonder how come y’all have never heard the phrase “city proper.”

It can’t just be a western US thing.
