In all honesty it’s 40% photograpy, 60% photoshop.
If you like, you can send me some of your photos, then I can photoshop them and send you back the photoshop files so you can ‘reverse engineer’ it to see how each setting/effect contributes to the final image.

The first couple of shots were taken on a Canon 50D with a Canon 17-55 f/2.8IS or a Canon 10-22 f/3.5-5.6.
The last 4 rolling shots were shot on my old throw around Canon 350D and the 10-22mm. The camera was mounted to the car by cheapo suction cup mount I recently bought on ebay
I’m using Photoshop CS4 for the post processing. I’ve tried to play around with Lightroom, but find that once you get comfortable with Photoshop, the functionality and flexibility it has over Lightroom means you can push the original image so much further.

I’m going to put this out to anyone who wants to learn.
If you send me some original photos, I’d be more than happy to photoshop them and send you the photoshop file so you can see what settings do what.

I need to learn how to take pictures like this. Car in focus, everything else blurred. Is this a photoshop effect or camera technique?
