can we make comments/posts on the posted links on the home page?

What do you mean? Ability to make comments to the links posted on the homepage?

The concept of http://hitotoki.org/ is pretty cool.  Not sure how plyable it would be for this version of iistix.

on most sites, to login you would type <username> <tab> <enter>.

on iistix, you have to type tab twice, because of the persistence checkbox.  it would be so nice if you could adjust the checkbox so that i don’t need to extra tab.

it would be cool if commenting were available for the links on the main page.
Maybee a comment+ link for each news item that defaults to collapsed but would expand if you clicked on it.

Not sure about the username tab login suggestion but comments for links would definitely be considered on the next site edit/update.

^^ I was just going to suggest that too!

Also it would be neat if it were integrated with the forum’s current events topics, but that would be a whole other thing.

Can you elaborate? What do you mean by that?

Can you elaborate? What do you mean by that?

meaning relevant current news topics posted either ont he front page or in the current event section get mirrored to thier respective alt viewing location.

i.e:  i post a story about korean culture in the delmarva region for the past 20 years and changes or whatever due to crime and shit or something like that

that story is then replicated in the current events section for people to comment on via posts?

amirite?

^^ Yeah something like that.  I was just thinking that sometimes the hot links or articles might inspire a discussion similar to the current events forum.  But then I thought about it afterwards and I think the technical and design effort to extra benefit ratio is pretty high. smile I was probably just imagining too much from a software engineer perspective.

Are the comments actually working on the articles?  I haven’t seen any comments yet.  I tried viewing what I thought was a comment a while back but it was blank.

Actually I think if the hot links had a comment function like the articles, it would be pretty much what I was thinking.

I had thought there were comments for Hot Links?  But now they’re gone.  Maybe I was wrong.

Is the “View new posts” link supposed to show all new posts since the last time you visited, and is the “View pending posts” link supposed to show all posts in the process of being written?  They are not showing what I am expecting.

i’m not sure if these are possible, but these are things i got used to on invision and it’d be nice if they could be incorporated here too:

a drop down window in each page to quickly change topics/polls.
Picture5-1.png

i assume this isn’t possible?  it would reduce the number of page loads/views which could be good or bad.
