Oh yeah, the reusable shopping bag is probably the easiest thing to do.  I keep them in the car.  But I’m still looking for a solution for a reusable non-plastic produce bag.  And still looking for a good reusable shopping bag that is itself biodegradable.

I want one of these indoor automatic composters from http://www.naturemill.com/ .  I have not bought one yet because I have no income.

Night owls use a lot more electricity for light.  I’m trying to do activities that need light in the daytime and activities that don’t need light at nighttime.

composting doesn’t need to be as complex as the naturemill, although it is cool.  in my opinion, the need for a power supply makes it a little less green.  worm boxes don’t require any power but will take a little longer to work.  they might also smell a little so they’re best outside.  they’re relatively easy to make or you can buy one for a reasonable price.

^ I figure if a person would not or could not compost without one then it is probably a good deal, and there’s no work for the person to do with the NatureMill.  Honestly I am not going to turn compost piles in the yard or dig holes in worm poop. raspberry The electricity use is pretty small.  I initially looked into it when I was living in a second floor condo with a balcony only.  The two indoor options I found were the NatureMill and worm bins.  I actually checked out the worm bins at a demonstration but it’s really more like gooey worm poo than soil.  Even if I didn’t mind the worms, I think I wouldn’t really do the work involved.  They do smell.

^ have you looked into envirosax bags?  they’re polyester and waterproof.  i got them for a friend’s bday gift, loved them so much i ended up getting myself some.  i love how they can be folded and stored away with no hassle.  i always keep one in my clutch/bag bc of their small size.  they’re also great gym bags.  shop around for them.  don’t buy retail as i got mine for less than half.

cute bags. smile
