did you have insurance before with our old employer?  they should have offered you COBRA

see my very first post wink

yes it is a ripoff bc it will cost me $300+ a month, and the whole reason i would have to get COBRA is bc i’m UNEMPLOYED HELLO. so it doesnt make sense to pay that much. i don’t need too comprehensive of a health plan, but i would like a more robust dental plan bc like i said, i think my teeth are due for some renovations.

i was looking at the blue shield ca site, and they have a “vital shield” plan which is like bare bones health plan, and a dental ppo that you can add on. i’ll probably go that route.

Have you looked into communcal coverage?

Where a group of people enter get a block of coverage and are treated like a small business or whatever.

I’m not sure if that is avaiable in CA though.

I still pay for insurance to cover meds, dental, eye, physio, etc.  Still far cheaper than any of these plans listed so far, though.

curious, do they test blood and urine for individual health plans (not through an employer) like they do for life insurance?
