I’m thinking about the Samsung Glyde.

It’s such a dumb name.

if i were to get a samsung phone, i think it’d be this one. it’s pretty sweet.

I don’t think I could justify spending that much on a non-OS Samsung. Been rocking a nerd phone for too long with the ability to multitask. Being able to run google maps, nav, gmail and send that info in a group message simultaneously would be a tough sell to let go.

I just took a can of compressed air and blasted this thing. Cool.

I know Joe no longer harbors the feelings for the Nokia N series but I’m still smitten. It’s like the longterm girlfriend that I’ve grown comfortable and content with, despite all its oddball quirks.

the N Series feels like a really slow laptop that has a weak application that can make phone calls.

sigh, i wish they were better. I’d totally be rocking the black N95

I saw a deal for the NA version on slickdeals a few months back. For $500 or less I think. The revision and release cycles are just way too fast for me, and ideally I’d like something with the ability to have a wicked battery life. It’d be neat if it told you directly how much battery life of every feature you were consuming by using such and such application.

Like, using 30 minutes of wifi would cut an hour of talk time and 12 hours of standby. Something like that.

the link doesn’t make it seem like they’ll spend $100 million.  but that is a catchy number

I like the use of the word ‘ginormous’ in a commercial.

so i was really set with getting the k850i yesterday when I went to china town at the t mobile store but then i compared them with the nokia n82 black edition and ended up liking the n82 a bunch more.

camera phone picture quality is freakin amazing. and the OS actually doesn’t feel sluggish and was faster than the SE’s. Built in GPS, A-GPS and Network based GPS is really sweet too.

Only thing that sucks is that the phone is too tall and I cannot jam it in my steering wheel to hold it upright while I drive. I loved that about the SE sized phone.

oh yeah, i had the best customer experience with them in china town as well, they gave me 100 bucks off cause i was a cool customer to them and they said i was really funny, then they loaded Indiana Jones on my phone, but it has mandarin sub titles. they said come back in 2 days, they’ll have a good copy of iron man for me.

hahaha. Oh man I haven’t done this in awhile with my own phone, my plastic case broke off and it doesn’t fit in the wheel anymore. I bought a vent-clip phone holder and it seems a bit more secure, but it lacks the novelty of the phone rotating while the wheel turns.

Back with Nokia eh? Nice.

having stupid awesome features like that is pretty priceless. i asked the people in china town if this phone would be able to fit in my steering wheel like they, they laughed at me and thought that it was funny. i brought up a bunch of other points that made them laugh. they ended up giving me 100 bucks off the phone and walked out the door with it for 430.

sweet deal.

8 gig MicroSD cards on new egg for 50 bucks. wooorrd.

sounds cool, but it’s amazing that $430 is a deal on a phone.
