Is anyone from London?

or chicago.

steven, i’ve got a question about england.  as a soccer (football) playing kid in the us, we always thought of europe as football heaven because it was a large part of the culture over there, always a part of the national conversation.  is that the case?

I’m not that into football, but it is.

Went to see the Champions League in Chelsea the other day. Chelsea Vs. Liverpool. Amazing game.

No one can afford the price of a ticket so everyone goes down to the pub and watches it. It’s so packed that you have to barge past people to get to the toilet and everyone starts chanting at the screen:

“You fucking ginger cunt” - pointing at the screen.
“Fuck off you wanker” - swearing at the screen.

There’s a general perception that if everyone shouts something to the tune of “fucking get it in you ponce”, then the team will score.

And then everyone starts singing.

I like watching Top Gear and Brainiac,

Do you know why Richard Hammond isn’t the host anymore for seasons 5 and 6 of Brainiac? Also, the Brainiac Moira Kan looks like Tygress here on the boards.

Hammond was in a pretty bad crash a while ago at Top Gear. A 288mph crash! He didn’t film anything for a while. He’s fine now though.

Top Gear is great. Clarkson is a legend. I like it when they just have random races across Europe for no apparent reason. I havn’t watched Brainiac to be honest with you. Will download it now.

I’m trawling through the net as we speak to find a picture of moira.

edit:

There aren’t any pictures of her, but her email’s here:

and she’s on facebook.

I feel like a stalker.
