I understand there needs to be trsnparency when state funds goes to pay a state employee’s salary.

I guess I just never really considered my dad to be a state employee, but he is, and I don’t like people peeking into his wallet.

lol.  It’s fun to see who’s making too much money [by seriously abusing overtime, etc].  Almost makes me want to join the Fire Department so I can be on the take too:

I remember reading in the Chronicle that one fire department in particular that they caught, there were regular bbq’s being billed as work time since it was a “work event”

yeah, having open records is strange.  you can view some sf court cases (285162 here’s a long estate case my office is working on), look up property transfers, look up property taxes for a parcel of property (which allows you to figure out how much the property was bought for), and i’m sure there are other things too.

why the hell does gas keep getting more pricey, wtf.
