btw: when u watch the movie, some of the aerial shots has my sister’s civic in it. the car made it an extra but my sis didn’t. haha

not my shots, i found them on a site.

i tried getting shots since i had night classes when they were taping , but i had no luck… they moved all around the downtown area… the one day i didn’t bring my camera, they were just down the block… :-(

I had a very grainy cellphone shot of Michael Mann and Johnny Depp outside my apt, but it’s so hard to tell it was them.

Because Gotham City = Chicago.  And with the exception of Hong Kong, where the majority of Batman Begins and the Dark Knight was shot.

Gotham = Chicago

um. i’ve always had gotham = new york.

^ I think he meant to say that for Batman Begins, they used digitally enhanced shoots of Chicago.

From the comic universe, it’s originally intended to follow the origins of NYC, as the wiki entry suggests.

NYC Gotham = Post Michael Keaton as batman.

Chicago Gotham = Christian Bale as batman.

how do you know that’s chicago?

they blocked of streets around my school downtown . i also, recognized the buildings and streets where they were , while watching the last Batman… plus there were signs everywhere that said “rory’s first kiss’ which was code word for Batman for the production staff.

Also, DC is a made up universe as far as cities go.

Marvel is more grounded in real world locations.  New York is New York in the Marvel Universe.

New Yorkers think they are Gotham because journalists started calling the city that.  But I dunno if most New Yorkers realize gotham means a “pen for goats” or referred to an English village, famous for the foolishness of it inhabitants.
