Me: Well, outside of the more academic/sociological issues, there are lots of personal reasons behind it.

Me: (Interrupting) But how long has he WANTED to date an Asian girl?

Girl: What?  Well, uhm.  I guess he was too busy teaching when he went to Japan to teach English.

Me: Do you think it started with all those Korean soap operas he likes to watch?

Girl: That doesn’t matter, he doesn’t have an Asian fetish!  Like I said, I’m the first Asian girl he’s ever dated.

I’m happy that she taking one for the team. I’m always thankful when ugly ones make the sacrifice.

See the problem with that sort of mentality is that behind every ugly girls is a pretty friend (because I think it’s a scientific fact that pretty girls surround themselves with a few ugly ones to raise their hottness factor by a factor of 10, plus to act as a defense barrier at clubs).  It may act as a domino or since iistix is, of late, using starwars theme the dark side.

im happy too, but i wouldnt call it a sacrifice on their part...that would infere they had a choice and could do better if tehy wanted to.  They are just being opportunists and taking what comes their way before the well dries up.
