Dear Javon,

You think you would have learned from Darrent Williams.

I hope you are OK.

Mike.

Dear Oakland,

Thank you for taking yet another washed up player with issues from us.

Romo.
Cooper Carlisle.
Darrien Gordon.

That’s what I can think of off the top of my head.

Darren McFadden legitimately scares me.

How are the Donkeys going to contain him?

mike, you should become a personal advisor/bodyguard/assistant for brandon marshall to prevent him from doing so much dumb stuff..

Blithering Idiots, NFLPatrick ImigJuly 9th. 2008, 2:20pm
All that’s left is an assault charge and becoming so broke he can’t afford a trial. Oh wait, he already did the assault thing. Apparently Marshall was ticketed on June 12th, and complicated matters with a dose of stupidity:

The wide receiver was ticketed on I-25 Northbound, June 12th of this year for allegedly disobeying his lane assignment, driving without a license, and driving without proof of insurance. If convicted of those charges, Marshall would receive 10 points on his driver’s license. According to Colorado law, an adult driver can have their license suspended for the accumulation of 12 points within 12 months. Marshall is also facing 12 license points for DUI charges stemming from an arrest by Denver Police last October.

Given his recent history with the law, it would be easy to pile on Marshall for a traffic ticket of such frivolity, but ‘lane disobediance’ isn’t too big a deal (unless it put other drivers in danger, of course). What is a big deal is not having your license and proof of insurance with you. Good lord, Brandon, stop being such a moron.

It was nearly four months ago at a press conference when Marshall announced, “My goal for the summer is to be clean-cut and don’t get into trouble…”

Mission failed.

^ sadly it looks like favre is going to be one of those that wont leave the field on his own accord.  you’ll have to cart him off.  i think he does have maybe 1 more season in him but he’d have to go to a good-great team that is just missing a QB, ie chicago, minn, otherwise why bother?

man.. didn’t he learn from Jordan?  I’m trying to think of any athelete that successfully came out of retirement in a team sport.  In individual sports it’s easier because you aren’t screwing anyone over if you suck.  I think the only way to come out of retirement is if:
1. your team asks you to come back mid-season because of injuries to the team, and
2. you can still play; or
3. you’re about the do the triple lindy.
