I ended up getting a Panasonic FZ8:

I found one on Amazon brand new for about $220.  I’ll be positing up some impressions once I get to play with it more; I just got it today and I’m charging the batt.

Have you gotten the camera yet?  I’ve been thinking of getting a superzoom camera for the times that we don’t wanna lug around the 10d.

I ended up with the Canon S5 IS.  So far, I love it.  Very versatile and packed with features.  I’ve got a lens adapter, hood and u/v filter on the way from B&H;this week.
