i’m taking duncan’s prayer of a three
as a sign that there are higher forces
involved with what may ultimately
result in another spurs title

ridiculous.

i’d like to see phoenix win it all for ghill
and the big cactus, so they can put
themselves out of misery and retire

-

ai2 needs to step up and claim the go-to
role for the team if they want to keep
surprising the fans

I don’t care who wins as long as Lakers don’t win. Actually, I’d wouldn’t mind seeing Jazz win it all just because Jerry Sloan deserves it.

Would love to see the sixers get past detroit.  What an unbelievable season for the team.  Even if they lose to Detroit its been a great season for them.  I can only hope they can build on this and not get crazy in FA and give out bad contracts.

wow, crazy game in Utah today.  I’ve never watched McGrady in a playoff game before.  He really, really chokes when the game is on the line.  He’s taking off balance jumpers with his eyes closed, looking lost on defense, and commiting stupid turnovers.  He literally just tried to walk through AK47.  Big play by Carl Landry… good thing because I think McGrady had stopped to tie his shoe or something.  But risky play for him to block the ball and then throw it back in right under his own goal.  And then Scola makes the second free throw!  Lucky rockets.

What the heck is wrong with the Celtics? Why can’t they win on the road at all?

So much for them steamrolling the East.

^ At first I thought that was an over-exaggeration. But wow, every single play-offs game away they’ve lost so far. hm.

even if the c’s manage to get past detroit
they’re still going to get squashed by any
of the west teams still playing at the moment

outside of the big three, their team is too
inconsistent to get the Ws when necessary

i do think pierce, kg and rayray deserve a
title though. they’ve done their time on subpar
teams.

The thing is if they keep going to 7 every series they play, they’ll be so tired by the time the Finals roll around it won’t even matter.

I bet the NBA execs are dreading the possibility of a New Orelans vs Detroit Finals. It’s probably a worst case scenario in terms of TV ratings, market sizes, marketability and star power.

i’m not so sure.  i think chris paul will get a lot of love from the league and tv execs if he carries new orleans to the finals.  detroit would be a disappointment.

I don’t doubt he’ll get the hype since he’s as close to a superstar as they’ve got on that team.... but he certainly isn’t Kobe Bryant or Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett. He’s hardly a household name.

Plus the whole inspirational “rebuilding of New Orleans after Katrina” storyline is great but it certainly isn’t “Lakers vs. Celtics”. LOL
