wow, June, so low maintenance.. that’s awesome.

my skin dries out in weird patches if i use too much product, and i’m a firm believer in keeping my natural oils on my face at least a little. same for my hair. if i shower every day my hair gets really dry.

I’m all into using derm recommended things after my derm rotation.  Plus it’s usually cheap.

Cleanser: cetaphil
Face moisturizer: complex 15 for night.  I need to get something for day, think I will get cetaphil with SPF.
Body moisturizer: vaseline creamy is the best stuff ever, as it has 30% petroleum jelly but has some cream in it too, thus making it much less greasy, but super moisturizing.  Every dermatologist I’ve worked with recommends this.
Eyes: marcelle eye stuff with vitamin C
Lips: paula’s choice lip + body balm is the best stuff ever.

face wash - DHC deep cleansing oil
toner - DHC mild lotion
face and body moisturizer - Bio-oil <--- i love this.
other face moisturizer - Olay Regenerist
night cream - Olay Regenerist
mask - Origins charcoal
acne - still trying to find a good on-the-spot treatment one.  i used to use the tube from Clinique.

i’ve taken to using those mask things twice weekly for a quick pampering.  doesn’t do much other than make the face a tad softer.  for all of a couple hours.

Cleanser - Dermalogica clay cleanser <-- works so well on my oily face and the menthol is very refreshing

Exfoliant - Dermalogica skin prep scrub

Toner - Dermalogica multi-active toner

Lotion - Dermalogica medi-bac oil control lotion <-- prevents sebum glands from getting overactive while moisturizing, and the medi-bac line is formulated for acne prone skin

Acne treatment - Dermalogica medicated clearing gel

Eyes - Anthony continuous moisture eye cream <-- figured I’d start using it to keep from prematurely looking like a wrinkled prune

I use Desert Essence Jojoba oil as a moisturizer but how do you use it as a cleanser?

^i’m guessing you would wash it off with warm-to-hot water to wash off the oily residue.  i use an olive oil-based cleanser and it washes off easily, leaves no oily areas.

i would pour a few drop of the jojoba oil on a cotton square and clean my face w/it.  it’s a great makeup remover and it doesn’t dry out my skin like regular facial cleanser.

Sorry for the stereotype, but I’m wondering… why do Korean women have such beautiful skin?  Clear, fair, smooth, and glowing.  All the Korean women I have seen and known have beautiful skin.  I can’t say the same for the men though.

Is it genes, diet, makeup?  What’s the secret?

It’d be nice if it were a diet or behavior thing, because then I could try some of those.  Apparently I’m not the only one wondering.  I did some Google searches and there are a bunch of people wondering the same thing.
