I made some weird fried rice last night with with onions, peas, egg, shrimp and pork. OK, maybe that doesn’t sound that weird, but it seemed weird. I’ve been really out of it while I’ve been cooking lately.

sounds like you took my mom’s idea of fried rice to heart. she basically sometimes she called it lop jap fan , or basically, “clean out the fridge fried rice.”

Not today, but I finally did some cooking at my friend’s place while in TO. Made some baby back ribs on one night and rack of lamb another night. Yum.

Fage yogurt. Wow, greek yogurt is almost like cream cheese but sour. Add some honey.
Mmm, 80% DV of saturated fat.

I had bison for the first time yesterday. Rib eye and tenderloin. Very tasty but I couldn’t tell that it was any different from a nice piece of steak. Apparently it’s low in fat (comparatively), but it was still super tender.

I think the taste is very similar, but bison seems to be darker red in color…

I didn’t like bison when I had it. Was very chewy and not good. It did have a slightly different taste than beef though.

As an aside, does anyone care to describe what gamey tastes like?

My record for most different kinds of fruit eaten in one day - a banana, plum, apple, fig, strawberries, tomatoes, lemon, orange juice, and a Dole fruit bar.
